MARK HARRISON


Mark Harrison is the Founder and Principal of Harrisons.

Born in Yorkshire, England in 1958, Mark studied at Keele University gaining a BA (Hons) in Law & Economics, with Philosophy and Mathematics. He qualified as an English Solicitor in 1982 and commenced his legal career at Linklaters, moving to Eversheds in 1991 where he was Head of Central & Eastern Europe. He moved to Belgrade in 1997, and subsequently set up Harrisons as the first International Law Practice in Serbia and Montenegro.

Mark has over 20 years experience in the Balkans. He has led numerous high-profile corporate transactions, including major international acquisitions and privatisations, advising some of the world's leading companies and financial institutions, and regional governments.

Mark is Honorary Legal Adviser to the British Ambassador to Serbia and the British Embassy in Belgrade, a Founding Member of the British-Serbian Business Council, the UK member of the Business Advisory Council for South Eastern Europe to the Stability Pact, and a member of both the Law Society of England and Wales and the International Bar Association.

Mark's main leisure interest is looking after his 2 children, Katy and Jack.
